“People don’t believe in the unseen, anymore,
Only in things they can see for sure.
They say love and soulmates exist no more,
Yet they breathe an unseen air to live for sure”
Not every story begins in the here and now. Some transit through time never ending. If time were to cease, then some things will live for sure.
It began in the garden beneath which rivers flows, the place where the Sand (Kum) and the Sea (Deniz) were born before creation of mankind – the first soulmates, two halves of the one whole, the two parts of the eternity sign. They play a definitive role in the unseen war against the plots of Fujur (Evil & Immorality) to protect those on the path of Taqva (Good & Awareness of God). A war between the Ego and the Spirit, to which all sbeings are subject. They are the guardians of lovers since eternity, relentlessly aligning the paths of lovers, across the portal that connects us to our parallel lives for the ultimate payment of karmic debt.
A part Koli, East Indian Catholic, Hannah lives in Mumbai where the Sea ( Deniz) always watches over her. Yet her dreams are haunted by a voice that calls to her through the breeze….True love walks beside her in a parallel life, yet she is unable to find her way back in time.
Riddled with disappointment and distressing heartbreak, she is hopelessly drawn to the path the Universe has laid before her feet. Drawn to Istanbul, she finds part of the puzzle in the Ezan of the Blue Mosque.
Could the man of her dreams be real?
What could an Indian Woman and a Turkish Imam have in common?
Will Hannah find what she searhes for?
Only those who believe will pass the test.
Everyone has their own journey; some get on the path and to some, the path comes calling.
“This the tale of the Sand (Kum) and the Sea ( Deniz),
Hanging on the edge of wait, watch and let’s see”

View BookIt was a spiritual journey, a journey that elicited within me a desire for travel and you must know I never found the idea of travelling myself as fun, I do read travelogues of people, but that's about it - I like reading it. But this book....wow, it was something. Feels like I know the author after finishing this. Not a book to pick up just whenever you feel like I say, it's maximum effect can be felt only when picked up when feeling lost and maybe hopeless even.
What an amazing book! I’ve learned so incredibly much about life, spirituality, balance, love and all that comes with it. Ann is an incredible writer and I recommend this book to everyone. She touched so many topics which i could relate to and I couldn’t stop underlining sentences. The book made me laugh out loud a couple of times and I loved the fact that she was so honest. Stop reading this review and start the book!!!
It is a captivating work of art which continues to intrigue the reader to all bounds. Impressively holding together the words and its plot line in a frame of expressive skyline. Its truly marvelous.
Mystical captivating Romantic Fiction. Where people from two different cultures meet - Hannah the protagonist -She’s a strong beautiful woman who takes us on her journey ... to all these amazing places in Istanbul- turkey, which I can actually imagine or see through her eyes. The best part are the beautiful poems- totally loved it! Ann D’silva just like her character Hannah is a strong, intelligent, beautiful woman - her eloquence I admire ♥️
I most love author’s take on God and Religion and the message that life is precious no matter how insignificant society may consider certain groups of people, the truth is well presented through the novel that all life is significant to the all loving creator. This representation of God and religions includes everyone. Such thoughts reminded me of John Lenon song “Imagine” Kudos to the author for adding this spiritual light as the journey of love.
The author is an artist and has weaved fiction and reality; she has given a personality to places and made them come alive. The description of the localities of mumbai gave me goose bumps. She has taken history and presented it as art. My favorite part was the depiction of the Sand and Sea as people and the pain humanity has inflicted on nature. It broke my heart but also woke me up to want to do my bit to respect nature. Now I see nature in different light.
An intriguing level of storyline as the protagonist is out with her search to find true love; I experienced Mumbai uniquely with her words and am terribly intrigued to visit the mystical cities of Turkey. The author has created a virtual lonely planet in my head after reading her novel. The cultures, splendid lifestyle and the reality of the mix work well in the book and I know my holiday destination this summer.
I just finished this book and loved every bit. I love the way Ann has integrated religion with the main plot of a romance cutting across cultures, ages and dealt with it so sensitively yet it’s informative and is played on the larger canvas of universal brotherhood ! Looking forward to what the author will show the world, through the child as well as unnecessary wars and conflicts which are paid for by innocent children.

Truly lift your life in a positive and interesting way.
A magical universe with an acting force of love drawing together Hannah to her ultimate love is truly beautifully plotted. The narrative grows deeper as you turn the pages and that’s how the author draws you in with the story knitted in the words dipped in love.
